Departure from New York, flight by PLL LOT – Polish Airlines

DAY 2 – 4 MAY, 2025

Arrival in Warsaw & transfer to the hotel. After check-in we
invite you for a walk around the beautifully rebuilt Old
Town of Warsaw which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We walk along the elegant street of Krakowskie
Przedmieście, admire the Presidential Palace, the Royal
Castle and Main Market Square. Later, we see the Tomb of
the Unknown Soldier a. It is an International Firefighter’s
Day – so we also participate in celebrations in Warsaw. In
the evening, we invite you for a traditional Polish welcome
dinner.

DAY 3 – 5 MAY, 2025

In the morning we visit the Warsaw Rising Museum – a
tribute to those who fought and died for the freedom of
Poland in 1944. As we drive through the current business
district, that used to be a Jewish Ghetto during World War
2, we can see how the harsh history of Poland shaped the
city architecture.
After lunch we drive north to Gdańsk – often referred to as
the ‘Pearl of the Baltics’ due to its rich history, stunning
architecture, and a picturesque waterfront. To stretch our
legs after a bus ride, we take a walk along the Main Town.

DAY 4 – 6 MAY, 2025

In the morning, we explore the center of Gdańsk – the Old
and the Main Town. As Gdańsk is an important Polish port,
we also go to see their fire department equiped with
several fire rescue ships.
Later, we drive to the Westerplatte peninsula where the
first clash between Polish and German forces during the
Invasion of Poland in 1939 happened.
In the afternoon, we continue discovering the most
surprising city by the Baltic Sea.

DAY 5 – 7 MAY, 2025

We start the day in Gdańsk with a visit in the European
Solidarity Centre – the museum which commemorates the
fall of communism in Europe. Later, we drive to Malbork
Castle, known for its stunning Gothic architecture and
historical significance as one of the largest brick castles in
the world. For the night we arrive in Łódź to experience its
vibrant cultural scene, historic industrial heritage, and
dynamic urban revitalization.

DAY 6 – 8 MAY, 2025

Today we continue exploring Łódź, by visiting the Poznański
Palace – a magnificant example of 19th-century industrial
architecture that now houses a worth-visiting museum.
Then, we drive to Częstochowa – a famous pilgrimage
destination, known mainly for the miraculous painting of
Our Lady of Częstochowa (known in US as Black Madonna).
While in Częstochowa, we visit the Central School of the
State Fire Service, where we can learn more about the
Polish Firefighters. For the night, we head to Katowice.

DAY 7 – 9 MAY, 2025

Today we visit the Central Museum of Fire Fighting in
Mysłowice for a guided tour. There we learn about Polish
firefighting history, techniques, and the importance of fire
safety. In the afternoon, we visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau
State Museum (Oświęcim). We visit this important
historical area that allows us to recapture the horrors that
occurred there during WW2. It is an important memorial to
the victims of the genocide.
For the night we go to Bielko-Biała.

DAY 8 – 10 MAY, 2025

First we visit and tour the modern fire station in Bielsko –
Biała and the fire communication center. We can also see
what an old, monumental buildning of the ‘old’ firestation
there looked like. We also visit Polish fire apparatus
manufactures. Later, we experience the rich brewering
tradition of Poland at the Musuem of Brewery in Żywiec
where you can delve into centuries of beer-making history
through interactive exhibits.
Our destination for tonight is Zakopane – the winter capital
of Poland. We take a walk along the main boardwalk, where
we can find great food to try in local cafes, restaurants,
accompanied by traditional folk music.

DAY 9 – 11 MAY, 2025

While in Zakopane, we go to Gubałówka Hill which offers
panoramic views of the Tarta Mountains, accessible by a
funicular ride or a scenic hike.
We continue exploring the Tatra mountains by climbing or
using horse & buggy to reach the breathtaking mountain
lake called Morskie Oko “Sea Eye” – located at the height of
1395 meters above the sea level. For the night we drive to
Nowy Sącz, where we take advantage of the unique
opportunity to move back in time and overnight in a hotel
that is a part of the Open-Air Musuem.

DAY 10 – 12 MAY, 2025

We start the day exploring an open-air museum where on
almost 20 hectares you can admire nearly 100 original
houses: both poor village cottages and the country estates.
Most of them are over 200 or 300 years old.
Later, in Nowy Sącz, we visit one of the most modern fire
stations in Poland.
in the afternoon we arrive at the famous underground salt
mine – Wieliczka. The scale of excavation is very large, with
corridors, galleries, and chambers, as well as underground
lakes, in total more than 120 miles in length.
For the night we arrive in The Royal City of Kraków.

DAY 11 – 13 MAY, 2025

We have the whole day to properly explore the best known
Polish toursit destination, and the former capital of Poland –
Kraków. We enter the Old Town through the Gothic
Barbican gate, where the Royal Route begins. A stroll
through Europe’s largest Market Square is a visual feast,
leading us to the historic Wawel Hill, home to the Royal
Castle and Cathedral, steeped in Polish coronation history.
In the afternoon we visit the Fire Training Academy.

DAY 12 – 14 MAY, 2025

After breakfast we continue exploring Kraków and later
start moving west. But first we head to the Museum of Fire
Fighting in Alwernia. The museum has a collection of more
than 4,000 exhibits that since 2024 is presented in a brand
new modern complex.
In the afternoon we arrive in Wrocław – often called the
“Venice of Poland” for its charming network of canals and
bridges. It is a vibrant city known for its rich history and
stunning architecture which will amaze you with its beauty.

DAY 13 – 15 MAY, 2025

We start the day by exploring Wrocław’s beautiful Old Town
with the famous Market Square. We find out more about
the history of the city and its role over the centuries.
Then, we must visit Ostrów Tumski – a former island
between the branches of the Odra river. The first wooden
church was built there in the 10th century. Today this place
is full of old buildings – churches, seminary building and the
famous Gothic cathedral.
In the afternoon we visit an airport fire station.

DAY 14 – 16 MAY, 2025

Today we explore Kotlina Kłodzka (Kłodzka Valley)
surrounded by a border mountain range with the Czech
Republic from the west, south and east. It is a charming
mountainous area with magical spa towns with healing
waters and a multitude of attractions. We visit there
‘Twierdza Kłodzka’ – a historic fortress complex dating back
to the 13th century, offering visitors a glimpse into the
region’s military history.

DAY 15 – 17 MAY, 2025

In the morning, back in Wrocław, we visit Panorama
Racławicka – a monumental painting depicting the Battle of
Raclawice offering viewers an immersive experience,
transporting you back to the historic battle.
Next in our agenda is The Centennial Hall – an extraordinary
place and a world-class monument listed on the UNESCO
World Heritage List. Behind the hall building, there is a
picturesque pergola with a wonderful multimedia fountain.
Afterwards we drive back to Warsaw for a farewell dinner.

DAY 16 – 18 MAY, 2025

It’s time for packing, relaxing and getting some souvenirs
before departing our country with a piece of Poland in your
heart. Transport to the airport will be provided.
