Northern Poland Exploration – Polish Tour

DAY 18 MAY 2025 / 4 SEPT, 2025

After checking into a hotel and resting a bit, we invite you for a walk around the beutifuly rebuilt Old Town of Warsaw which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We walk along the elegant street of Krakowskie Przedmieście admiring the Presidential Palace, see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Saski park. In the evening, we invite you for a traditional Polish welcome dinner.

DAY 2 9 MAY 2025 / 5 SEPT, 2025

We continue exploring Warsaw and start with the Royal Castle which was first built there in the 14th century.
For lunch we visit the traditional pierogi place and afterwards the Chopin Musuem.
Later, we visit the largest park in Warsaw. Developed by Poland’s last king, Stanisław August, it’s home not only to striking landscapes but also a number of architectural treasures.

DAY 3 10 MAY 2025 / 6 SEPT, 2025

Today, we visit The Warsaw Rising Museum – a tribute to those who fought and died for the freedom of Poland in 1944. Driving through the current business district, that used to be a Jewish Ghetto during World War 2, we slowly leave Warsaw.
For lunch, we invite you to Łódź – the third most populous Polish city which experienced extremely rapid industrial growth in the 19th century.
Afterwards, we drive to Toruń for overnight.

DAY 4 11 MAY 2025/ 7 SEPT, 2025

We spend the entire day in Toruń (German: Thorn) known mostly as the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus and the best-preserved Polish medieval town, built in the 13th century as a headquarter base for the conquest and evangelization of Prussia. The Old Town – a UNESCO World Heritage Sites impresses with buildings from the 15th century, including the House of Copernicus we visit this day. If you have a sweet tooth you have to taste Toruń famous gingerbread.

DAY 5 12 MAY 2025 / 8 SEPT, 2025

In the morning, we head to Malbork where we visit there the medieval castle of the Teutonic Order Knights – the most complete and elaborate example of a Gothic brick building from the 13th century. It is also the largest castle in the world measured by land area. After lunch in the castle restaurant, we go north and late afternoon we get to Gdańsk where you can enjoy the evening having a walk around the Main City where we stay for four nights.

DAY 6 – 13 MAY 2025 / 9 SEPT, 2025

Today, we discover the most suprising city by the Baltic Sea as Gdańsk is often described. Destroyed during WWII, today it is a colorful place that’s becoming increasingly popular among tourists. We walk along the Long Street called also the Royal Way. Over the centuries Gdansk was a strategic port on the Baltic shore and one of the richest cities in Europe, its monuments such as the Artus Court, the Golden Gate or Neptune’s Fountain, are a testament to it.

DAY 7 14 MAY 2025 / 10 SEPT, 2025

In the morning, we drive to the Westerplatte peninsula where the Invasion of Poland in 1939, and automaticaly the WW2 started. You can see there the ruins of the guardhouses, defenders’ barracks and a Monument of the Coast Defenders.
On the way back to Gdańsk we stop at the European Solidarity Centre – the museum which commemorates the Solidarity movement and the fall of communism in Europe.

DAY 8 – 15 MAY 2025 / 11 SEPT, 2025

Today, we visit the Emigration Museum in Gdynia. For hundreds of years, people moved from here to different parts of the world for a better life, freedom, and stability. This exceptional museum depicts that phenomenon in Polish history, telling amazing stories about their journey and a new life after emmigration. In the afternoon we spend a while in the Sopot resort. After a smooth walk on the longest wooden pier in Europe, we go back to Gdansk.

DAY 9 16 MAY 2025 / 12 SEPT, 2025

We head towards the Masurian lakes region. On the way, we stretch our legs in Olsztyn – a major city in Warminsko – Mazurskie province.
After lunch, we drive to Wolf’s Lair – one of Adolf Hitler’s military headquarters, known of the assassination attempt against Hitler in 1944. For the night, we go to Giżycko and stay in a modern SPA Resort, located on the shore of the Niegocin lake in the former castle.

DAY 10 17 MAY 2025 / 13 SEPT, 2025

Today, we continue exploring ‘Mazury’ and visit the city of Suwałki located near the border with Lithuania, then Wigry National Park, and the open-air museum presenting the local wooden architecture . After lunch provided in a traditional local inn, we drive south to Augustów. After checking into he hotel located at the canale, the boat will pick us up and if the weather allows, we will admire the sunset and the beauty of the nature of the Rospuda Valley.

DAY 11 18 MAY 2025 / 14 SEPT, 2025

Before heading back to Warsaw, we need to visit one more city in that part of the country -Białystok. It is the tenth-largest city in Poland but also the fifth-most forested city in the country. It is also known as the birthplace of Ludwik Zamenhof, a founder of the Esperanto language. We are going to see the old town and splendid Branicki Palace, which also known as the “Polish Versailles”. Afterwards, we drive back to Warsaw.

DAY 12 – 19 MAY 2025/ 15 SEPT 2025

This is your last day in Poland, unless you decide to extend your trip. It’s time for packing, relaxing and getting some suveniours before departing our country with a piece of Poland in your heart. Transport to the airport will be provided.
