I have been working with Genealogy Tour for approximately a year. I originally contacted Tom Szymkowiak to do some genealogical research in preparation to a family trip to Poland, scheduled for 2014. My initial focus was on the Smydra line of my family.
With very little factual information and only limited oral family history with which to work, Tom was able to locate the villages where that branch of the family originated. He was able to find birth, baptism, marriage, and death records. In addition, he was able to provide the original spelling of the family name as well as identify additional branches of the family. So far, he has discovered an additional two generations of the Smydra line as well as multiple individuals within those generations. Through his work, we have begun to put the pieces of the family puzzle together.
Genealogy Tour’s prices are reasonable. Their results are dependable. Their staff is reliable and responsive to my questions and suggestions. I have no reservations about recommending them to anyone looking to find their own Polish family history.
I have been impressed with Tom’s insight as well as his competence. He has worked with me, exploring each line of the family as I’ve requested. His knowledge of the history and geography of Poland has provided the context that has made the genealogical records of our family more meaningful.

Their professionalism and the quality of their efforts have exceeded my expectations. Tom has accessed the Archdiocesan Archives as well as a number of state Archives. He has even gone to some of the villages for me to take pictures. I could not be more satisfied with his work.
