DAY 1 – 28 SEPT, 2024
Welcome to Warsaw, Poland.
After arrival, the bus will take us from the airport to Krakow.
On the way, we will stop for a traditional Polish lunch. We
will then continue our journey to Krakow, the former capital
of Poland. After checking-in we invite you for a short walk
around the Old Town where awelcome dinner will be
served.

DAY 2 – 29 SEPT, 2024
We spend the whole day exploring ‘the City of Polish Kings’.
We enter the Old Town through the gothic entrance gate
(Barbakan) where so-called “Royal Route” starts. It takes us
to Europe’s largest Market Square, where we also visit the
Underground Museum which tells us the story of medieval
Kraków. After lunch we continue along the Royal-Route that
ends at Wawel Hill. Wawel Castle & its Cathedral was the
place of coronation of Polish kings.

DAY 3 – 30 SEPT, 2024
In the morning we visit Kraków’s Jewish district, Kazimierz
which is special for its rich historical significance, vibrant
cultural atmosphere, and well-preserved synagogues. After
lunch we drive to Wieliczka Salt Mine – a UNESCO World
Heritage site renowned for its underground chambers,
chapels, and sculptures carved entirely from salt. Let us take
you for a fascinating journey through centuries of mining
history.

DAY 4 – 1 OCT, 2024
We leave Krakow for the entire day. Our first stop is
Wadowice – the place of birth of the Polish Pope – John Paul
II. We visit a great museum organized in his family home.
Before we leave this charming town we must try a famous
Pope’s Cream Cake. After lunch we continue our trip and
visit Auschwitz-Birkeanu – the largest Nazi-German
concentration and extermination camp. We get back to
Krakow in the evening where you can enjoy the night at the
romantic Old Town.

DAY 5 – 2 OCT, 2024
We leave Krakow and head to Zakopane – the winter capital
of Poland. We take a cable car trip to Kasprowy Wierch,
where panoramic views of the Tatra mountains awaits.
Later we enjoy lunch served in the traditional highlander’s
restaurant and spend the rest of the day exploring the
charming wooden architecture of Zakopane including the
famous wooden church of Jaszczurówka. In the evening you
may enjoy a concert of a local folk music.

DAY 6 – 3 OCT, 2024
Begin your day with a visit to Krupówki Street, immersing
yourself in the lively atmosphere of local markets and
shops. Later we cross the Slovakian border and visit the
town of Poprad. We explore its historical center, St. Egidius
Basilica, and the medieval Spis Castle nearby.
In the late afternoon we come back to Zakopane to enjoy
the blend of traditional highland culture and picturesque
landscapes.

DAY 7 – 4 OCT, 2024
Enjoy the last moments in Zakopane before we hit the road
and drive towards the city of Tarnów. On our way, we stop
in the well-preserved medieval town called Stary Sącz and
admire its historic market square and Gothic architecture.
Later, we get to Tarnów for ‘pierogi workshop’. We
prepared a unique hands-on experience where you can
learn the art of making traditional Polish dumplings.
Afterwards, we take a walk around this charming city.

DAY 8 – 5 OCT, 2024
Today we have a day-trip to Rzeszow. We follow the
Underground Tourist Route where one can find the relics of
medieval walls, hidden passages and much more. Next we
visit the beatiful Łańcut Castle famous for its excellent
interiors and an extraordinary collection of horse-drawn
carriages.
In the afternoon we visit The Ulma Family – Museum of
Poles Saving Jews in World War II. For the night, we go back
to Tarnów.

DAY 9 – 6 OCT, 2024
Today we explore the town of Gorlice and start with a local
museum, which recounts the significant Battle of Gorlice
during WWI, a pivotal moment in the Eastern Front. Then
we learn about Gorlice’s famous resident – Ignacy
Łukasiewicz – a Polish inventor who established the world’s
first oil refinery in Gorlice. This marked a revolutionary
moment in history, as it laid the foundation for the modern
petroleum industry. For the night we get back to Kraków.

DAY 10 – 7 OCT, 2024
Enjoy your free time in Kraków this morning. We meet for
lunch and then drive to Zalipie, known as the ‘Painted
Village’. It is a unique destination renowned for its tradition
of hand-painted floral motifs adorning nearly every building.
We visit the Open-Air museum, featuring decorated
cottages, a testament to the village’s rich folk art heritage.
For the night, we drive to Warsaw where a farewell dinner is
provided.

DAY 11 – 8 OCT, 2024
The trip is about to finish. On the final day just stroll through
Warsaw’s streets, if needed do some more souvenir
shopping, relax and reflect on the diverse experiences and
cultural treasures discovered during your memorable tour
of southern Poland. You may also use that time and start
planning your next visit for more unforgettable moments.
